Laurel Burch cat card

Hello, from a very cold but bright location.

I have a quick post today, to say thank you to Chris, a lovely friend of mine.

I had a great surprise when I saw her recently as she gave me a rubber stamp with a cat on, designed by Laurel Burch.
Her art work is gorgeous. I love the quirky cats and you often see her illustrations on fancy notebooks, which Chris and I are both fond of. She did a lot of fantasy designs with horses, flowers dogs, ladies and scenes too, but it is the cats I am particularly drawn to.

I have a bag, which I bought years ago, with one of her Indigo Cats designs on, and I still enjoy using it although it is very faded now.

Stampendous have just brought out a selection of her designs and I had been looking at them the day before, so it was a lovely surprise.

So here is my first card that I just  had to send to her, using the lovely stamp.

I'm afraid the photo is a bit blurred which I didn't check before I sent it! But you get the general idea.

Laurel Burch used very bright, vibrant colours in her designs, and I can't help but smile when I see them.
There is a very interesting web site with information about her life and art work and a good  image section .

I shall be playing with this stamp a lot along with a couple of others, that just had to join it.

                                                                      Bye for now
